DANGER Risk of fire  due to ignition of R1234yf refrigerant on hot components. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling overheated refrigerant vapors. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by contact with escaped R1234yf refrigerant and when working on pressurized parts. Risk of explosion  due to formation of ignitable refrigerant/air mixtures Never perform welding work on or near a closed air conditioning system. No smoking or open flames. Wear safety glasses and protective gloves. Work only in well ventilated rooms. Carry out repair work on the air conditioning system circuit only after the system has been evacuated. WARNING Risk of injury  . Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Discharge air conditioning system.   AR83.30-P-1760MFA 
2 Detach front right wheel and tire assembly.   AR40.10-P-1102MFA
3 Remove front section from right front fender liner.   AR88.10-P-1301MFA
4 Release and disconnect electrical connector (7).    
5 Remove electric lines (5, 8) from blower (13). NOTES
Do not kink stretch or crush electric lines (5, 8).
Otherwise the electric lines (5, 8) will be damaged and the function will be impaired.
 
6 Unscrew nut (2), remove refrigerant lines (4) and seal openings with protective covers.    
REFER TO CAPACITIES & SPECIFICATIONS Compressor oils (specification 362.1) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Install new seals and wet with compressor oil. BB00.40-P-0362-01A
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, refrigerant line to condenser *BA83.30-P-1007-01T 
    SPECIAL TOOL Set of protective covers Fig 3
7 Remove screw (12) and remove holder (11). TORQUE SPECIFICATION M6x1 *BA00.10-P-1002-04A 
8 Remove condenser (1) together with blower (13) and frame (10). IMPORTANT The holder (9) remains in the vehicle.  
9 Unclip blower (13) from frame (10). When replacing condenser (1).
SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge

10 Remove condenser (1) from frame (10). When replacing condenser (1).  
11 Install in the reverse order.    
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
12 Perform engine test run and, during this, check air conditioning system for proper operation.
