Installation is shown on left side of vehicle as an example. Installation on right side of vehicle is performed analogously.
- Clean contact surface of door sill in hatched area with cleaner.
- Remove carrier films (8) and protective foil on front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47).
Note guides (9) during subsequent assembly.
- Position front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) onto longitudinal member and press on evenly.
- Route white line (2) of front left illuminated door sill molding (E17/47) with black 2-pin contact socket (2.1) over the longitudinal member and fit in place using fabric tape (11).
- Connect black 2-pin contact socket (2.1) to black 2-pin plug (1.1).
- Wrap felt tape (12) around black 2-pin contact socket (2.1) and black 2-pin plug (1.1) and fix in place in cable duct.
