Remove/Install Exhaust Camshaft Position Sensor - AR07.04-P-0057MFG

WARNING Risk of injury  . Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove upper engine cover.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only install the top engine cover after having completed the function check. AP01.10-P-2405-01K
2 Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) from exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/16).    
3 Remove screw (2) from the exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/16). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, camshaft position sensor to cylinder head cover *BA15.10-P-1002-03I 
4 Remove Hall sensor of the exhaust camshaft (B6/16) and seal exposed opening with a suitable stop plug. SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 2
5 Check sealing ring for damage. If it is damaged,

replace exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/16).
 
6 Clean contact surfaces on the engine or on the exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/16). NOTES
Do not use any sharp-edged tools or abrasive paper.
Otherwise, the contact surfaces will be damaged.
 
    Cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1025-04A 
7 Install in the reverse order.    
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
8 Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper leak tightness and leak tightness.    
9 Install upper engine cover.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP01.10-P-2405-01K
INSPECT Check     
10 Read out and delete fault memory using vehicle diagnosis system.
