| 2 | Release tailpipe trims (2) on left and right from bumper and slide back. | ||
| 3 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (3) at exhaust gas flap controller (M16/57). | ||

| 7 | Unscrew bolts (6) and remove strut (7). | *BA61.10-P-1002-01N | |
| 8 | Support exhaust system downstream of catalytic converter (1). | ||

| 12 | Remove clamp (4). | ||
| 13 | Unscrew nuts (14) and remove bracket (12) from front axle carrier. | Wet elastomer bearings (11) with Teflon spray. Teflon spray, art. No.K007.1 |

| 14 | Remove combustion and corrosion residues. | ||
| 15 | Check elastomer bearing (8, 13) for damage and replace if necessary. | ||
