Damage Profiles For A Poly-V Belt - AP13.22-P-1351-01A

NOTES In all cases of damage, do not reuse the poly-V-belt.

Replace poly-V-belt and the component parts causing damage subject to separate repair order.

Consequential damage can otherwise occur.

NOTES The number of poly-V-belts may vary due to incorrect or a damaged V-belt.

The number of poly-V-belts must match the number of grooves in the belt pulley of the crankshaft.

Consequential damage can otherwise occur.

Wear on belt back 

Not valid for belt with smooth back.

The backing of the belt is damaged 

IMPORTANT The surface layer exhibits transverse or longitudinal cracks.

Flanks of the poly-V belts worn 

NOTES The poly-V-belts show signs of wear or they are pointed instead of trapezoidal.

Look out for non-aligned and damaged belt pulleys.

Pay attention to belt pulleys and guide pulleys.

Heavy wear and deposits and lumps of rubber in base of rib

Swelling through contact with engine oil, coolant, cold cleaning solvent etc.

NOTES Increase in belt width ≥; 0.7 mm (0.03 inches).

Look out for leaks in the major assemblies.
