The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

The higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Grind mating surface at connecting panel (1) in cross-hatched area down to bare metal.

   Grind spot weld flange down to bare metal.

2. Remove grinding dust.
3. Apply zinc dust paint to the insides of the spot weld flange.
