Telephone antennas connection
The left telephone antenna (3) and the right telephone antenna (2) are connected to the telephone antenna splitter (8). Depending on the vehicle equipment, the antenna connection may differ:
- Vehicle with code 899 (Multifunction telephony) or
with code 380 (Car telephony package) or
with code B24 (Remote control for stationary heater):
Directly to the mobile phone cradle control unit, to the telephone control unit or to the stationary heater radio remote control receiver (9) via a simple telephone antenna splitter (8)
- Vehicles with code 899 (Multifunction telephony) or with code 380 (Car telephony package) and
with code B24 (Remote control for stationary heater) or with code 856 (Telephone handset in rear armrest):
To the mobile phone cradle control unit (or to the telephone control unit) and to the stationary heater radio remote control receiver (9) (or to the rear mobile phone cradle) via a 2-way telephone antenna splitter (8)
- On vehicles with code 899 (Multifunction telephony) and with code 380 (Car telephony package), the antenna signal is forwarded accordingly by the telephone antenna changeover switch (7) to the mobile phone cradle control unit or to the telephone control unit.
- On vehicles with code 856 (Telephone handset in rear armrest) and with code B24 (Remote control for stationary heater), the antenna signal is forwarded accordingly by the antenna changeover switch for telephony in the rear/stationary heater (10) to the rear mobile phone cradle control unit or to the stationary heater radio remote control receiver (9).
On vehicles with code 899 (Multifunction telephony), the antenna signal to the mobile phone cradle control unit is amplified by the cellular telephone system antenna amplifier/compensator (6).
On vehicles with code 856 (Telephone handset in rear armrest), the antenna signal to the rear mobile phone cradle control unit is amplified by the rear mobile telephone network antenna amplifier/compensator (14).
Emergency call system antennas connection
Emergency call system antenna 1 (23) and emergency call system antenna 2 (22) are directly connected to the telematics services control unit.
GPS antenna connection
Depending on the vehicle equipment, the following connection options are available for the GPS antenna (1):
- Vehicles with code 362 (HERMES LTE):
Directly to the telematics services control unit
If the vehicle is also equipped with code 355 (Extended functions MBUX): The signal from the GPS antenna is forwarded to the multimedia system control by a GPS splitter integrated into the telematics services control unit.
- Vehicles without code 362 (HERMES LTE) but with code 355 (Extended functions MBUX):
Directly to multimedia system control
Rear window antennas connection
The antennas in the rear window are connected via 2 antenna amplifiers:
- FM, AM, CL and KEYLESS-GO antenna amplifier (24)
- FM2, DAB and TV2 antenna amplifier (25)
Windshield antennas connection
The antennas in the windshield are connected via 2 antenna amplifiers:
- TV1 antenna amplifier (5)
- TV3 antenna amplifier (4)
