Remove/Install Sealing Frame Of Rear Door - AR72.12-P-0002ME

WARNING Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
REMOVING Remove     
1 Release door trim of the rear door (2) in the top area.   AR72.12-P-1011ME 
2 Remove window frame lining (3).    
3 Detach sealing frame (1) from the rear door (2). IMPORTANT A new sealing frame (1) must always be installed after removal.  
4 Remove adhesive residues at rear door (2) using a surface conditioning disk and clean bonding surface.    
Topical note  Notes on removing adhesive residues and foils on paint and metal surfaces with surface conditioning disks   AH00.00-P-0013-01AK
    NOTES Bonding surfaces must be free from dust, oil, grease, wax, dirt residues and other adhesive components.
Otherwise there may be adhesion problems.
IMPORTANT Surface conditioning disk with a diameter of 100 mm with attachment shaft, company 3M Deutschland GmbH D-41453 Neuss.

INSTALLING Install     
5 Remove spacer strip (4) by approx. 2 cm at one end of new sealing frame (1).    
6 Stick sealing frame (1), starting at the side, at the height of the lower edge of the top hinge (arrow), onto the rear door (2). IMPORTANT The spacer strip (4) of the sealing frame (1) must be in contact with door paneling over its entire length, without any gaps.  
7 Cut off the protrusion of the sealing frame (1) and connect and stick on both ends of the sealing frame (1) with the stop plug (5). IMPORTANT Cut off protrusion so that there is no gap between the two ends of sealing frame (1).  
8 Firmly roll on sealing frame (1) using a roller. SPECIAL TOOL Roller Fig 1
9 Completely remove spacer strip (4) from sealing frame (1) starting at the separated end.    
10 Install window frame lining (3).    
11 Fasten door trim of the rear door (2).   AR72.12-P-1011ME
