Remove/Install Driver Door Lower Hinge - AR72.10-P-0003ME

	Remove
1	Detach front floor covering on driver's side until distributor box (5) is accessible.		AR68.80-P-0007ME
2	Unclip distributor box (5) and place to one side until nuts (3) are accessible.	Do not crush or kink or subject lines to tension This will result in damage to the lines which may impair their functional capability.
3	Mark installation position of hinge leaf (1.1) and hinge support (1.2) using a suitable means.	Lower hinge consists of hinge leaf (1.1) and hinge support (1.2).
4	Support driver's door using a suitable means and fix in place.	The driver's door must be supported and fixed in place. The driver's door could otherwise be damaged.
5	Remove nuts (3).	If necessary, push the damping (4) to the side.
6	Unscrew the screw (2) and remove the hinge support (1.2) with the hinge wing (1.1).
	Install
7	Clean contact surfaces in area of hinge supports.	Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
8	Align hinge leaf (1.1) on driver's door by means of the previously applied markings and slightly tighten screw (2) by hand.
9	Align hinge support (1.2) by means of the previously applied markings and slightly tighten nuts (3) by hand.	Helper required.
10	Close and open driver's door.	The installation position of the driver door may change later due to opening and closing.
	Check
11	Check gap dimensions at driver's door, adjust if necessary.		AR72.10-P-0550ME
12	Tighten screws (2) and nuts (3).	Screw/bolt, hinge to front door	*BA72.10-P-1002-01O

14	Protect driver's door and A-pillar in area of hinge leaf (1.1) and hinge support (1.2) against corrosion; remove excessive wax.	Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can)	*BR00.45-Z-1018-05A
15	Install distributor box (5).	Do not crush or kink or subject lines to tension This will result in damage to the lines which may impair their functional capability.
16	Install front floor covering on driver's side.		AR68.80-P-0007ME
