| Remove | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 2 | Remove front bumper. | AR88.20-P-2000ME | |
| 3 | Open maintenance flap in front fender liner. | ||
| 4 | Remove screws (1, 2, 3). | ||
| 5 | Pull out front lamp unit (E1 or E2) until the electrical connector (4) is accessible. | ||
| 6 | Release and disconnect electrical connector (4). | ||
| 7 | Remove front lamp unit (E1 or E2). | ||
| 8 | Remove left headlamp control unit (E1n9) or right headlamp control unit (E2n9). | If front lamp unit (E1 or E2) is replaced. | AR82.10-P-4660ME |
| 9 | Remove front left LED matrix lamp unit control unit (E1n11) or front right LED matrix lamp unit control unit (E2n11). | If front lamp unit (E1 or E2) is replaced. | 10 | Install front LED matrix lamp unit control unit (E1n11 or E2n11). | If front lamp unit (E1 or E2) is replaced. | 11 | Install headlamp control unit (E1n9 or E2n9). | If front lamp unit (E1 or E2) is replaced. | AR82.10-P-4660ME |
| 12 | Connect electrical connector (4) and install front lamp unit (E1 or E2). | ||
| 13 | Tighten screws (1, 2, 3) lightly by hand. | ||
