Remove/Install Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooler - AR27.55-P-1000MRK

Transmission 725.0 in model 167 with engine 264

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant. Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non - deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

CAUTION Risk of injury  to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Slowly open cap of coolant expansion reservoir, reduce overpressure, and close cap again.   AR20.30-P-4949MRK
2 Remove air intake pipe.   AR09.10-P-8131MRK
3 Thoroughly clean connections of oil lines (2, 3) on oil cooler (1). Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
4 Remove oil lines (2, 3) from oil cooler (1) and seal openings using suitable stop plugs. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Install front and lower center engine compartment lining only after leak test.
IMPORTANT Collect the oil in a suitable container.

5 Clamp off coolant hoses (4, 5). SPECIAL TOOL Clamp Fig 2
6 Remove coolant hoses (4, 5) from oil cooler (1) and seal openings using suitable stop plugs. IMPORTANT Collect coolant in a suitable container. AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ

7 Push retaining clamp (6) upward and remove oil cooler (1). NOTES
Carefully push retaining clamp (6) upward.
Otherwise, the retaining clamp (6) will be damaged.
If retaining clamp (6) is damaged:

Secure oil cooler (1) at marked area (arrow) with a repair screw and washer.
 
8 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
9 Check and correct oil level in automatic transmission.   AR27.00-P-0270EWN
10 Check engine cooling system for leak tightness.   AR20.00-P-1011MRK
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug - fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
11 Conduct engine test run and, while doing so, check automatic transmission for proper operation and oil cooler (1) and connections of oil lines (2, 3) for leak tightness.    
12 Install the front and lower center engine compartment lining.   AR61.20-P-1105ME
