DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A

  Preparatory activity     
1 Release parking brake.    
2 Lift vehicle with lifting platform.    
REFER TO TESTING & REPAIR     AR00.60-P-1006A
INSPECT Check     
3 Assess the wheel bearings by firmly tugging, pushing and turning at the wheels. If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
4 Check rear axle carrier (1) for cracks, deformation and corrosion. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
5 Check rear axle carrier elastomer bearings (2) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
6 Check lower wishbone control arm (3) for cracks, deformation and corrosion. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
7 Check lower wishbone control arm elastomer bearings (4) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
8 Check rear axle differential elastomer bearings (5) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

If problems occur,

rectify the problems.

9 Check rear axle differential (6) for cracks, deformation, leaktightness and corrosion. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
10 Check stabilizer bushings (7) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing on stabilizer bar (8). IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
11 Check stabilizer bar (8) for correct seating, cracks, deformation, corrosion and play. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
12 Check tie rod elastomer bearings (9) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

13 Check tie rods (10) for correct seating, cracks, deformation, corrosion and play. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
14 Check shock absorber elastomer bearings (11) for cracks, deformation and wear, then check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

If problems occur,

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
15 Check strut rod elastomer bearings (15) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

16 Check strut rods (15a) for correct seating, cracks, deformation, corrosion and play. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

17 Check outer drive shaft boots (17) for condition, leaktightness and correct seating. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
18 Check clamps (16) of outer drive shaft boots (17) for cracks, deformation, corrosion and correct seating. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

rectify the problems.
IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
19 Check inner drive shaft boots (13) for condition, leak tightness and correct seating. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
20 Check clamps (16) of inner drive shaft boots (13) for cracks, deformation, corrosion and correct seating. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

21 Check rear axle shafts (26) for cracks, deformation and corrosion, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

22 Check camber strut rod elastomer bearings (22) for cracks, deformation and wear, and check for play by firmly pulling and pushing. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

23 Check camber struts (22a) for correct seating, cracks, deformation, corrosion and play. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

24 Check coupling rod joint boots (19) for proper condition, leaktightness and correct seating. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

25 Check coupling rod joints (20) for play by firmly pulling and pushing. If problems occur,

26 Check level sensor linkages (21) for correct seating, cracks, deformation, corrosion and play. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

IMPORTANT After obtaining special order.		  
27 Check lower supporting joint boots (25) of lower wishbone control arms (3) for condition, leaktightness and correct seating. IMPORTANTIf necessary, use commercially available devices/tools.

28 Check lower supporting joints for play by pulling and pushing firmly on the lower wishbone control arms (3). If problems occur,
