- Remove cover of right air duct.
- Remove air duct seal (9).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector (1) and place connector couplings outside of working area.
- Release and disconnect the electrical connector (2).
- Unclip electric line of electrical connector (2) and place to one side.
- Remove nut of electric line (3) from 48 V on-board electrical system fuse box in engine compartment (F153/2) and place electric line (3) to one side.

- Remove cover (5).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector (6).
- Remove nuts (7).
- Release and disconnect electrical connector (8).
- Guide previously removed electrical wiring harnesses out of air duct.
- Remove bracket (10) from body and secure electrical wiring harnesses to engine.
- Remove nut (11), remove electric line (12) from grub screw and fasten outside of working area.
- Remove nut (13), remove electric line (14) from grub screw and fasten outside of working area.
- Remove screw (15).
- Remove electrical wiring harness from heat shield and remove heat shield.
- Release and disconnect electrical connector (16) and fasten outside of working area.
- Unscrew screws (17) and remove heat shield (18).
- Release and disconnect electrical connectors (20, 21) on transfer case (19).
- Remove electrical wiring harness (22) from transfer case (19).
- Connect in reverse order.
