Overview 

This document contains information on the tasks, location and structure of the mobile phone cradle control unit.

General 

The mobile phone cradle control unit has the following functions:

• Inductive charging
• NFC interface for Bluetooth® and WiFi authorization
• NFC interface for mobile phone authorization
• Mobile phone connection to vehicle outer antenna (equipment specific)

Location 

The mobile phone cradle control units are installed in the instrument panel, front/rear passenger compartment center console and rear passenger compartment armrest areas.

Function requirement 

• Circuit 15R on

Structure 

Depending on the equipment and model, the mobile phone cradle control unit contains the following components:

• NFC antenna
• Connection for another external NFC antenna
• Induction loop for inductive charging
• Antenna for capacitive coupling with the car antenna
