REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1.1 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). Except code U67 (230 V socket in rear) and except code U80 (115 V socket)  
1.2 Clamp off ground line of on-board electrical system battery (G1). With code U67 (230 V socket in rear) or with code U80 (115 V socket) AR54.10-P-0003ME
2 Remove the ventilation nozzle (1) with a suitable tool and the pulling hook. SPECIAL TOOL Extraction hook Fig 3
3 Remove screw/bolt (2).    
4 Unclip cover (3). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that the clamps are seated correctly in the catch openings (4).  
5 Unclip cover (5) at the rear on the center console from the top to the bottom and remove until the electrical connectors (6, 7) behind them are accessible. NOTES
Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension.
This will result in damage to the electric lines and can impair their function.
 
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Ensure that the clamps are seated correctly in the catch openings (8).

6 Release and disconnect electrical connectors (7) and unclip corresponding wiring harnesses of cover (5) at the rear from the center console. IMPORTANT The number of electrical connectors (7) varies depending on the vehicle equipment.

7 Unclip electrical connector (6) from the floor of the center console. If the center console is removed.

8 Remove rear cover (5) from center console.    
9 Remove lower stowage compartment (9) and upper stowage compartment (10) from cover (5). When the cover (5) is being replaced.  
10 Install in the reverse order
