Rear Inner Wheel Well Prepare For Installation - Ar63.10-P-0670-03MEX (Model 167.9)

Model 167.9 

The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

The higher-level service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Mark and cut separating point on cover plate (2) (area A).

   Transfer separation point from vehicle.

2. Grind mating surfaces on the wheel well (1) and on the striker plate (2) down to bare metal in the cross-hatched areas.

   Grind spot weld flanges and plug weld points down to bare metal on both sides.

   Grind bonding surfaces on the insides down to bare metal (areas B).

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

3. Remove grinding dust.
4. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

   Do not coat bonding surfaces with zinc dust paint (areas B).

   Otherwise adhesion problems may occur.
