The following notes must be observed on all vehicles.
Malfunctions can occur otherwise.
- One instance of paintwork rectification in the area of the radar sensors is permissible.
- Before painting, mask off the inside of the bumper in the area of the radar sensors to avoid any paint residue.
- The masking must be removed from the inner side after the painting process. All other residue on the inner side must be removed using a suitable adhesive cleaner or silicone remover.
- Filling and repair work in the area of the radar sensors is not permissible .
- Grinding work on the inside of the bumper in the area of the radar sensors is not permissible .
With code 234 (Blind Spot Assist) or code 233 (Adaptive Cruise Control Plus (DISTRONIC PLUS)) or code 237 (Active Blind Spot Assist) or code 238 (Active Lane Keeping Assist) or code 253 (Rear collision warning and protection system)
