Attach dial indicator holder (02) to assembly stand.
Insert dial indicator (01) in dial indicator holder (02) and set a preload of at least 3 mm.
The measuring tip of the dial indicator (01) must be aligned in a right angle to the crankshaft flange.
Press on crankshaft in an axial direction to one side up to the attachment and hold.
Set dial indicator scale to zero.
Press on crankshaft in an opposite axial direction to one side up to the attachment and hold.

  Read off measurement value on dial indicator (01) and compare with specified value .
  
  The read off measurement value corresponds to the crankshaft end play.

  Read off measurement value on dial indicator (01) and compare with specified value .
  
  The read off measurement value corresponds to the crankshaft end play.
