Lower, raise
- Unclip electrical line from bracket of left rear level sensor.
- Model 257 with code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL) Unclip electrical line from bracket of right rear level sensor.
- Disconnect electrical connector from left rear level sensor and place electrical line to one side.
- Model 257 with code 489 (AIR BODY CONTROL) Disconnect electrical connector from right rear level sensor and place electrical line to one side.
- Unhook electric lines (2) at right and left from holders (3).
The number of electric lines (2) varies depending on the vehicle variant involved.
- Remove bolts (4) from stop plates (5).
- Support rear axle (1) using major assembly mount and mounting plate.
- Remove bolts (6) and remove stop plate (5).
Do not use an impact wrench.
Otherwise, the threads will be damaged.
Use compressed air to clean thread in frame floor assembly and check for correct seating of threaded inserts.
- Lower rear axle (1) at front carefully.
- Lift in reverse order.
