CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Raise vehicle.   AR00.60-P-1006A
2 Release and disconnect electrical connector (12).    
3 Remove screw (1). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, rpm sensor to steering knuckle *BA42.30-P-1001-01K 
4 Lift holder (2) over nut (arrow), detach from left front axle rpm sensor (L6/1) or right front axle rpm sensor (L6/2) and hang holder (2) to one side. Model 257 (except 257.361) except code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all-wheel drive)  
5 Remove left front axle rotational speed sensor (L6/1) or right front axle rotational speed sensor (L6/2).    
6 Install in the reverse order.    
7 Read out fault memory using vehicle diagnosis system; delete fault memory if necessary.
