DANGER Risk of accident  when commissioning the vehicle due to a lack of braking effect when the service Brake is operated for the first time after repair work. Before starting the engine, actuate Brake pedal several times until pressure is built up and maintained in the Brake system. AS42.50-Z-0002-01A 
CAUTION Risk of poisoning  from swallowing Brake fluid. Risk of injury  from skin and eye contact with Brake fluid Only pour Brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling Brake fluid. AS42.50-Z-0001-01A

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove brakepads.   AR42.10-P-1610FR 
2 Remove bolt (4) and remove electrical connector from front right brakepad wear sensor (5). When removing Brake caliper (6) on right side of vehicle.  
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Bolt, Brake wear sensor to Brake caliper *BA42.10-P-1002-10X 
3 Remove Brake hose (1).   AR42.10-P-0026FR 
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Bleed Brake system only after installing brakepads.  
4 Remove screw (3). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Guide pin to Brake caliper support or bolt for guide pin to Brake caliper *BA42.10-P-1004-10X 
5 Remove Brake caliper (6).    
INSPECT Check     
6 Check Brake caliper (6) and dust boot on Brake piston for leak tightness and damage. In the event of a problem,

replace Brake caliper (6).
 
    INSTALLATION NOTES
The new Brake caliper (6) is shipped in prefilled condition and it must not be drained. Otherwise, the Brake caliper (6) cannot be vented.
 
7 Check Brake caliper support (7) for damage. In the event of a problem,

replace Brake caliper support (7).

8 Check guide pins of Brake caliper support (7) for damage and ease of movement. In the event of a problem,

Replace Brake caliper support (7).
 
      AR42.10-P-0222FR 
9 Check Brake disk for wear and condition. In the event of a problem,

Replace Brake disks.

      AR42.10-P-0220FR 
10 Install in the reverse order    
11 Bleed Brake system.   AR42.10-P-0010FR 
12 Operate Brake pedal several times until the brakepads contact the Brake disks. IMPORTANT Firm resistance should be noticeable at the Brake pedal.  
INSPECT Check     
13 Check and correct Brake fluid level in Brake fluid expansion reservoir.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE     AP42.10-P-4210B
14 Perform Brake test on test stand.
