The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

1. Expose spot welds on reinforcement (6) and cut off (areas A₁ , A₂ , A₃ , and A₄ ).
2. Remove reinforcement (6).
3. Grind contact surface of the reinforcement (6) down to bare metal on the tunnel and main floor (1).
