The next steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle on model 177.0. In case of damage on the right side of the vehicle, these steps must be performed analogously.

The safety information in the superordinate service document must be observed.

1. Install front seat crossbar at the front (3) and fit.
2. Drill rivet holes in the front seat crossbar at the front (3) with a diameter of 6.7 mm (areas F_1b , F_2b , F_3b , F_4b , F_5b , F_6b , F_7b , F_8b ).
3. Remove front seat crossbar at the front (3).
4. Deburr rivet holes on front seat crossbar at the front (3) and on the body on both sides (areas F_1b , F_2b , F_3b , F_4b , F_5b , F_6b F_7b , F_8b ).
5. Remove drilling chips.
6. Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

7. Grind mating surfaces on the front seat crossbar at the front (3) and on the main floor down to bare metal in the cross-hatched areas.

   

   Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.

8. Remove grinding dust.
9. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

10. Install front seat crossbar at the front (3).
11. Rivet front seat crossbar at the front (3) with rivets with a diameter of 6.5 x 12.5 (areas F_1c , F_2c , F_3c , F_4c , F_5c , F_6c , F_7c , F_8c ).
12. Front seat crossbar at the front (3) (areas F_9c , F_10c ).
