- Slide heat-shrinkable tube over the repair area.
- Heat the heat-shrinkable tube using hot air blower until it lies evenly against the repair area.

- Lay corrugated hose over repair point.
- Wrap insulation tape around corrugated hose at both ends.

- Wrap duct tape around repair point to match the original condition.
Duct tape is used for visual harmonization of the repair point and to protect against chafing. In vehicle areas with higher loads (e.g. engine compartment), duct tape should only be used in combination with other (watertight) safety precautions.
