| 1 | Close hood. | ||
| 2 | Fold out wiper arms (1) of windshield or rear window. | Secure the wiper arms (1) to prevent them from flipping back onto the windshield in an uncontrolled manner, and fold the wiper arms (1)back onto the windshield only with wiper blades (2) fitted. Damage can otherwise occur. |

| 3 | Check maintenance display of wiper blades (2). | Wiper blades (2) with maintenance indicator. If the protective foil is still present on the maintenance display, ↓ Remove protective foil. If the maintenance display is yellow, ↓ Replace wiper blades (2). |

| 4 | Check wiper blades (2) for proper mounting and damage. | If necessary, ↓ Replace wiper blades (2). |

| 5.1 | Check lips of wiper rubbers (2a) for hardening, cracks, wear and correct seating in guides and end caps. | Vehicle with version A. If necessary, ↓ Replace wiper blades (2). |

| 5.2 | Check wiper rubbers of wiper blades (2) for hardening, cracks, wear and correct seating in guides and end caps. | Vehicle with version B. If necessary, ↓ Replace wiper blades (2). |
