	Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.	Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of poisoning  from swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  from skin and eye contact with brake fluid	Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	AS42.50-Z-0001-01A
	Remove/install
1	Remove respective brake disk on rear axle.		AR42.10-D-0240TS
2	Unhook front brake cable at brake compensator lever.	Do not detach the rear brake cables.
3	Remove retracting spring (2).	Removal and installation tool	Fig 1
4	Unhook expanding springs (3).	To do so, use a cross-head screwdriver (size 3).
5	Remove retracting springs (4, 5).	Removal and installation tool	Fig 1
6	Remove brake shoes (1).	Installation  : Make sure that the cable coupler (6) moves easily. Clean contact surfaces on brake carrier (7) and grease lightly. Long-life grease	*BR00.45-Z-1001-06A
	Check
7	Check brake shoes (1) for wear.	Minimum dimension for brake shoes incl. carrier plate If a brake shoe (1) exhibits undersize or crack formation. ↓ Replace brake shoes (1) on both sides of the vehicle.	*BE42.20-N-1001-01TS
8	Check brake adjuster for ease of movement and seal for damage.	If the brake adjuster is stiff, ↓ replace brake adjuster. If seal is damaged, ↓ Replace seal.
9	Check support plate (8) for wear and damage.	Screw, support plate to axle carrier If wear and/or damage is present: ↓ Replace support plate (8).	*BA42.20-N-1005-01TS
10	Install in the reverse order.
11	Adjust parking brake.		AR42.20-D-0540TS
