The MB Advanced Control control unit (N175) can also be controlled using the MBAC app. The MBAC App is connected through Bluetooth® to the MBAC, whereby a range of approx. 15 m is available to the user.

The MBAC app provides the same functional scope as the head unit app. The MBAC app is available for downloading in Apple Store. The MBAC app is free of charge and compatible with iOS devices from the iPhone SE and later.

The app gives the user added comfort, as the functions installed in the MBAC can be operated when they are in the Bluetooth® range. An Internet connection is not required when using the app.

Setup of MBAC app 

When installing the MBAC app for the first time, the user is guided through a setup process. During this process, the user is notified about the terms of use for the MBAC app. The basic settings are also made here. The use of Bluetooth® must be permitted here for the MBAC app as it is a basic requirement for using the app.

Bluetooth® pairing must be conducted first, before using the MBAC app for the first time together with the MBAC. To do so, the MBAC must be switched to visible mode in the vehicle. After this, the MBAC is visible in the Bluetooth® menu of the MBAC app. Pairing is started by selecting the MBAC in the Bluetooth® menu.

For authentication, the user requires the last digits of the FIN for the vehicle in which the MBAC is installed.

Once successfully paired, the MBAC app downloads the configuration file from the MBAC. The user is then automatically forwarded to the MBAC app and can then use the functions.
