Inputs and outputs 

The parameterizable special module (PSM) control unit (N26/15) is also connected to the interior CAN (CAN B). This connection makes it possible to access the vehicle status with the PSM control unit and to control vehicle functions.

The PSM control unit has various inputs and outputs. The inputs are debounced and stored as a signal in the signal pool. The individual outputs are assigned signals by means of parameterization. In the case of outputs with special functions (asymmetrical half-bridge) and pulse width modulation (PWM), additional information regarding their use is required. If the respective signal is "1" (active), the output is activated. Activation is performed irrespective of the switched level (low-side or high-side).
