- Remove lead seal (1).
The lead seal (1) is irreparably damaged during removal.
- Remove RPM sensor (2).
To do so, remove screw of RPM sensor (2).
- Remove electric line (3) from factory-installed subharness.
To do so, cut through the cable ties.
- Open feed-through grommet (4).
To do so, separate cable tie.
- Carefully guide electric line (3) out of feed-through grommet (4) until connector coupling (5) is accessible.
- Disconnect connector coupling (5).
- Lightly grease sealing ring of new RPM sensor (6).
- Install new RPM sensor (6).
- Screw in screw/bolt (7).

- Route and attach electric line (8) as shown.
Do not kink electric line (8) and ensure that it is routed without chafing.
Prevent damage.
To do so, secure electric line (8) with cable ties.

- Connect electrical connector (5) and guide into feed-through grommet (4).
