The management of Bluetooth® devices is a basic function of the MB Advanced Control control unit (N175).
Management of Bluetooth® devices
The MBAC can start the Bluetooth® coupling mode as soon as the Bluetooth® pairing/reset pushbutton switch has changed to the "not pressed" state. For this, a Bluetooth® pairing/reset pushbutton switch must be connected to the interface "DI_Wake-up-Pairing_Pushbutton switch" and must be able to be actuated. It must have previously been, within a specific time frame (in seconds), in the "pressed" state and must then change to the "not pressed" state.
The MBAC can end the Bluetooth® coupling mode. This occurs when the MBAC detects the transition from the "pressed" state to the "not pressed" state at the interface "DI_Pairing-Reset_Pushbutton switch" and, in a directly subsequent time window (in seconds), does not receive any transition from the "not pressed" state to the "pressed" state at the interface "DI_Pairing-Reset_Pushbutton switch".
The Bluetooth® coupling process is concisely and clearly shown, and is possible to understand without any significant technical knowledge.
The MBAC can reset the Bluetooth® interface of the MBAC. For this, a Bluetooth® pairing/reset pushbutton switch must be in the "pressed" state in a specific time frame (in seconds).
The MBAC can connect to a commercially available smartphone or tablet via the Bluetooth® interface of the MBAC.
The MBAC is designed so that the MBAC can establish exactly one additional Bluetooth® connection - that is not authorized - in Bluetooth® coupling mode.
The MBAC can prevent an additional Bluetooth® connection - that is not authorized - from being established as long as the MBAC is not in Bluetooth® coupling mode.
The MBAC can end Bluetooth® coupling mode as soon as the MBAC has established an additional Bluetooth® connection.
The MBAC can save the connection-relevant data for the Bluetooth® connection as soon as a Bluetooth® connection is established via the Bluetooth® interface.
The MBAC can send the relevant data packages to the components as long as: There is a Bluetooth® connection between the MBAC and a component; and no request for disconnection of the Bluetooth® connection has been sent from the component; and the user does not require that the Bluetooth® connection be disconnected.
The MBAC can establish the Bluetooth® connection as soon as: A component makes a Bluetooth® connection request to the MBAC; and the associated connection-relevant data is stored in the MBAC; and automatic creation of the connection is authorized.
The MBAC can send the relevant data packages to the components as long as: There is a Bluetooth® connection between the MBAC and a component; and no request for disconnection of the Bluetooth® connection has been sent by the component; and the user does not require that the Bluetooth® connection be disconnected.
The MBAC enables the user to read out the data and the status of each Bluetooth® connection that is stored in the MBAC.
The MBAC enables the user to delete any Bluetooth® connection that is stored in the MBAC from the MBAC.
The MBAC provides the user with the option to deauthorize any Bluetooth® connection that is stored and authorized in the MBAC.
