Functional Scope Of Logic Functions (Plc), PSM, Function - GF54.21-D-3008TSA

with code ED5 (Parameterisable special module)
Function overview
The parameterizable special module (PSM) provides functions of the programmable logic control (PLC). Using these software functions, the customer can realize simple logical operations between signals in the parameterizable special module's signal pool.
The PLC functions can be coded; this means that the input signals of the PLC can be freely selected by the customer from the signal pool.
With some blocks, it is also possible to set parameters such as thresholds and times.
All logic function blocks with the following functions with quantity:
- Logic block 96
- Timer block 12
- Counter block 12
- Flip-flop block 24
- Threshold switch 24
- Hysteresis block 12
- Value tables 12
- Constants 60
Logic function blocks
The logic function blocks are subdivided into 12 identically structured groups.
Processing takes place sequentially in groups by ascending group number.
After a group has been processed, the results of the processing are available in the signal pool and can be used further by one of the subsequent groups.
Cycle times of the configuration blocks
- Logic 20 ms
- Arithmetic unit 20 ms
- Multifunction outputs 10 ms
- Signal outputs 20 ms
Using the PLC configuration tool 1, a corresponding coding string can be generated for the data entry of the configuration blocks.
Description of logic configuration block
Every logic configuration block consists of 4 identically constructed groups with various function blocks.
Description of group
Every group can be activated individually.
One group comprises the following function blocks:
- One hysteresis block
- 2 threshold switches
- 8 logic blocks
- 2 flip-flops
- One timer block
- One counter
- One value table
- 5 constants
The assignment of the input signals and the configuration of the function blocks take place by diagnosis.
The functions of the individual function blocks are described in the following documents:
- PSM logic functions, hysteresis block function
- PSM logic functions, threshold switch function
- PSM logic functions, logic block function
- PSM logic functions, flip-flop block function
- PSM logic functions, timer block function
- PSM logic functions, counter block function
- PSM logic functions, value table function
- PSM logic functions, constants function
Filter function
The filter functions for various inputs of the function blocks are constructed identically, but can be coded individually.
A filter block is always active. If one or more filter parameter bits are set (where state does not equal "0"), the corresponding filter signal is also evaluated as an input signal (logical "AND").
Filter signals 1 to 3 have a special position, as they represent the non-inverted outputs of logic blocks and are therefore variable in their configuration.
If filter bit 8 is set, the logically inverted input signal is used.
| No. | Filter | Description of output |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Group 12 logic block 1 | Takes into consideration the state of |
| output A | output A (non-inverted output) of group 12 logic block 1. | |
| 2 | Group 12 logic block 2 output A | Takes into consideration the state of output A (non-inverted output) of group 12 logic block 2. |
| 3 | Group 12 logic block 3 output A | Takes into consideration the state of output A (non-inverted output) of group 12 logic block 3. |
| 4 | CiA447 active | Bit is set if CiA447 CAN is active. |
| 5 | Terminal change from terminal 15R to terminal 15 | Bit is set with a change of terminal from terminal 15R to terminal 15; the reset reverts automatically after 3 PLC polling cycles. |
| 6 | No overtemperature | The bit is set provided no overtemperature is detected in the PSM. |
| 7 | Terminal 58 | The bit is set provided the terminal 58 signal is not equal to "0". |
| 8 | Invert input signal | The evaluation of the input signal is inverted. |
| 9 | CAN fault | The bit is set as long as the control unit is operating in limp-home mode. |
| 10 | No undervoltage | There is no undervoltage. |
| 11 | Terminal 61 | Function for "Engine running". |
| 12 | terminal 15 | Function as from "Ignition ON". |
| 13 | Terminal15R | Function as from "Ignition key at radio position". |
| 14 | Terminal15C | Function as from "Key in ignition". |
| 15 | Central locking (CL) open | The CL status does not equal "Externally locked". |
| 16 | Run-on time active | Function as long as at least one reason for the ECU remaining active (incl. run-on time) is active. |
Logic configuration area
The properties of the function blocks are compiled and configured in their own area within the logic configuration block.
