Cut Off Waistline Reinforcement For Rear Fender - Ar63.50-P-0003-01LCA

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

1. Expose spot welds on beltline reinforcement (1) for rear fender and cut out (areas A, B₁ , B₂ , B ₃ , C, D₁ , D₂ and E).

2. Expose spot welds on beltline reinforcement (1) for rear fender and cut out (areas F, G and B₄ ).
3. Separate weld seams on beltline reinforcement (1) for rear fender (areas H₁ , H₂ and H₃ ).
4. Remove beltline reinforcement (1) for rear fender.

5. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched inner C-pillar sidewall.
6. Sand down spot weld flanges to bare metal on both sides.
7. Repair bare parts with touchup applicator.
8. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
9. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
