Remove Rear CROSSMEMBER - Ar64.20-P-1100-01LF

  1. Expose self-piercing rivet on rear crossmember (1) and drill with Ø 6 mm bit (areas A1 ).

    IMPORTANT The self-piercing rivets can also be separated with a riveter for self-piercing and flow-form rivets.

  2. Expose clinch connections on rear crossmember (1) and drill with Ø 6 mm bit (areas A2 ).

    IMPORTANT The clinch connections can also be separated with a riveter for self-piercing and flow-form rivets.

  3. Heat rear crossmember (1) in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Cross-hatched areas are bonded.

  4. Remove rear crossmember (1).

  5. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in the cross-hatched inner C-pillar side wall.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
