Install Rear CROSSMEMBER - Ar64.20-P-1100-05LF

  1. Install rear crossmember (1), fit and fix in place.
  2. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in rear crossmember (1) (areas A1 ).

    Only if riveter for punch and flow form rivets is used for installation.

    IMPORTANT Rivet holes are drilled later when installing bottom rear center section (areas A2 ).

  3. Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in rear crossmember (1) and countersink (areas A3 ).

    Only if riveter for punch and flow form rivets is used for installation.

  4. Remove rear crossmember (1).
  5. Deburr rivet holes on rear crossmember (1) and body on both sides.
  6. Remove drilling chips.

  7. Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces. Observe manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of adhesive.

  8. Install rear crossmember (1) and fix in place.
  9. Rivet rear crossmember (1) with Ø 6, 5x12 5 rivet (areas B1 ).

    IMPORTANT Flow-form rivets with a clamping range of up to 3.5 mm "S1" can also be used, if a riveter for self-piercing and flow-form rivets is used for installation.

  10. Rivet rear crossmember (1) with Ø 6.4x14 rivet (areas B2 ).

    IMPORTANT Flow-form rivets with a clamping range of up to 3.5 mm "S1" can also be used, if a riveter for self-piercing and flow-form rivets is used for installation.
