  1. Set bleeding pressure on filling and bleeding unit to 2.0 bar.
  2. Remove caps for bleed screws on brake calipers (1, 2, 4, 6).
  3. Model 190

    Model 217, 222, 231

    with code B07 (Ceramic brake system)

    Remove caps for bleed screws on brake calipers (3, 5).

  4. Connect bleed hose of bleed bottle (01) to bleed screw of brake caliper (1).
  5. Open bleed screw (1).
    1. To bleed the hydraulic system of the brake system after the hydraulic system has been opened for repair purposes.

      Fully depress brake pedal repeatedly, until new bubble-free brake fluid flows out at the bleed screw (1).

      NOTES To bleeding the brake system correctly it is absolutely essential to pump the brake pedal throughout the entire bleeding process.

      Otherwise brake system malfunctions and a failure of the brake system can occur due to remaining residual air.

      IMPORTANT To prevent air from being drawn in, do not pump the brake pedal in a jerking manner but instead release it slowly.

      IMPORTANT The bleed screw (1) can remain open during the entire pumping process. Required total quantity of brake fluid: approx. 1.5 l.

    2. When replacing the brake fluid. The hydraulic system of the brake system was not previously opened for repair purposes.

      Keep bleed screw (1) open until new brake fluid flows out.

      IMPORTANT Pumping of the brake pedal is not necessary.

      Required total quantity of brake fluid: approx. 0.75 l.

  7. Detach bleed hose of bleed bottle (01) from bleed screw of brake caliper (1).
  8. Close bleed screw (1).
  9. Repeat operation steps 4 to 8 on remaining bleed screws (2, 4, 6).
  10. Model 190

    Model 217, 222, 231

    with code B07 (Ceramic brake system)

    Repeat operation steps 4 to 8 on remaining bleed screws (3, 5).

  11. Fit caps for bleed screws on brake calipers (1, 2, 4, 6).
  12. Model 190

    Model 217, 222, 231

    with code B07 (Ceramic brake system)

    Attach caps for bleed screws on brake calipers (3, 5).
