The following operation steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle on model 222 and must be performed analogously on the right side in the event of damage.

1. Grind mating surfaces on main floor (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Main floor (1), bottom 

2. Grind mating surfaces on main floor (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

3. Remove grinding dust.
4. Grind connecting carrier (2) down to bare metal on outside in cross-hatched areas.
5. Remove grinding dust.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

6. Grind front seat crossmember (3) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.
7. Remove grinding dust.

8. Grind reinforcement (5) down to bare metal on outside in cross-hatched areas.
9. Remove grinding dust.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

10. Heat bottom longitudinal member (6) down to bare metal in crosshatched areas.
11. Remove grinding dust.

    Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
