- Apply 2-component adhesive to body in crosshatched areas (areas M1, M2 and M3).
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces and manufacturer's specifications for drying and processing time of 2-component adhesive.

- Install longitudinal member outer shell (1), fit and fix in place.
- Rivet outer A-pillar bottom section (2) with Ø 6.5x14.5 blind rivets (area I1).
- Longitudinal member outer shell (1)
(area M).
- Longitudinal member outer shell (1)
(areas A1, A2 and A3).
- Longitudinal member outer shell (1)
turn (areas B1, B2, C and D).
Inert gas weld in intervals and allow to cool down in between. Reduces heat distortion.
- Grind inert gas welds down flat (areas B1, B2 and C).
Grind down flat only in beaded areas and contact surfaces on outer A-pillar bottom section (2) (areas B1 and B2) and longitudinal member outer shell (1) (area C).
- Clean inert gas welds no longer accessible after installing longitudinal member paneling and coat with zinc dust paint (areas B1, B2 and C).

- Install outer A-pillar bottom section (2), fit and fix in place.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in outer A-pillar bottom section (2) (area E).
- Remove outer A-pillar bottom section (2).
- Deburr rivet holes on outer A-pillar bottom section (2) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

- Install outer A-pillar bottom section (2), fit and fix in place.
- Rivet outer A-pillar bottom section (2) with Ø 6.4x14.0 countersunk-head rivets (area G1).
- Rivet outer A-pillar bottom section (2) with Ø 6.5x12.5 blind rivets (area G2).
- Outer A-pillar bottom section (2)
(area H).
- Outer A-pillar bottom section (2)
(area F).

Grind down flat on contact surfaces on B-pillar paneling (4) and beaded area only.
- Clean inert gas welds no longer accessible after installing A-pillar paneling (4) and lower front longitudinal member (5) and coat with zinc dust paint (area F).

- Install lower front longitudinal member (5), fit and fix in place.
- Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in lower front longitudinal member (5) (areas L1, L2 and L3).
- Remove lower front longitudinal member (5).
- Deburr drill holes on lower front longitudinal member (5) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

- Rivet lower front longitudinal member (5) with Ø 6.5x12.5 blind rivets (areas N1).
- Rivet lower front longitudinal member (5) with Ø 6.5x14.5 blind rivets (areas N2).

- Install A-pillar paneling (4), fit and fix in place.
- Drill A-pillar paneling (4) with Ø 6.7 mm bit (area I).
- Remove A-pillar paneling (4).
- Deburr rivet holes on A-pillar inner panel (4) and body on both sides.
- Remove drilling chips.
- Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint.

- Install A-pillar paneling (4), fit and fix in place.
- Rivet A-pillar paneling (4) with Ø 6.4x14 countersunk head rivet (area K).
- A-pillar paneling (4)
(area L).
- A-pillar paneling (4)
(area J).

- Grind inert gas weld down flat (area J).
- Solder surfaces on A-pillar paneling (4) with body solder and smooth (areas J).
- Remove solder residues and grinding dust.
