	Remove/install
1	Remove corresponding front wheel.		AR40.10-P-1102A
2	Reduce pneumatic pressure of suspension struts (2) using diagnostic system.
			AD00.00-P-2000-06FR
		The complete wheels must not touch the ground. Otherwise the suspension struts (2) can be damaged and subsequently malfunction.
3	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).
4	Remove covers over suspension strut (2) at top.
5	Clean area of pressure line connections.	Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.
6	Detach pressure line (1) from suspension strut (2) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.	Do not crush or kink the pressure line (1) and do not subject it to tension. This will cause damage to the pressure line (1) and can impair its function. Pressure line to front suspension strut/valve block	*BA32.22-P-1010-03F

7	Remove nuts (3).	Nut, suspension strut at front to body	*BA32.25-P-1001-04O
8	Disconnect electrical connector at suspension strut (2).
9	Open holder (4) and expose electric lines (5).
10.1	Unscrew screw (15) and remove brake hose (7) with holder.	Model 223 with code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) except code 490 (Electrohydraulic suspension) Screw, bracket for brake hose to strut	*BA42.10-P-1006-04R
10.2	Open holder (6) and unhook brake hose (7).	Model 223 except code 490 (Electrohydraulic suspension) except code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version)
11	Remove torsion bar linkage (10) from steering knuckle (11). 12	Secure steering knuckle (11) to prevent it from folding down.
13	Remove upper transverse control arm (12) from steering knuckle (11). 15	Remove suspension strut (2).
16	Remove adapter (16) for connecting pressure line (1) at suspension strut (2).	Model 223 with code Z07 (B7 armoring on special protection version) except code 490 (Electrohydraulic suspension) Only when installing new suspension strut (2).

18	Check suspension strut (2) for damage.
