Floor Above Rear Axle Removal - Ar63.40-P-1200-01S

Model 223.0/1/9 

The following steps are shown on the left side of the vehicle for model 223.1 and must be performed in the same way on the right side of the vehicle. The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Expose self-piercing rivets in the floor above the rear axle (1) and drill out with ø 6 mm (area A).
2. Expose laser weld seams on the floor above the rear axle (1) and separate (areas B).

3. Heat floor above the rear axle (1) in cross-hatched areas.

   Cross-hatched areas are bonded with adhesive.

4. Remove floor above the rear axle (1).

5. Grind mating surfaces down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

6. Remove grinding dust and drill chips.
