| 1 | Remove cover over brake fluid reservoir. | ||
| 2 | Clean area around cap of brake fluid reservoir. | Assembly cleaner | *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A |
| 3 | Remove cap of brake fluid reservoir and suction off some brake fluid. | ||
| 4 | Move brake linings (9) on rear axle into assembly position. | Do not operate the service brake while "Move to assembly position" is shown. Otherwise the spindle in the brake caliper (1) will be damaged. |

| 5 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||

| 10 | Release and disconnect electrical connector at left electric parking brake actuator motor (M76/1) or at right electric parking brake actuator motor (M76/2). | ||

| 13 | Remove brake caliper (1) from brake caliper support (11). | The new brake caliper (1) is shipped in prefilled condition and it may not be drained. Otherwise the brake caliper (1) cannot be vented. |
