Upper A-Pillar Reinforcement Partially Prepare For Installation - Ar63.20-P-1116-02S

Model 223.0/1/9 

The following operation steps are shown on model 223.1 on the left side of the vehicle and must be similarly performed on the right side of the vehicle in the event of damage.

The superordinate service document as well as the safety information in the service document must be observed.

1. Mark separating point at inner A-pillar reinforcement (2) and cut (area A).

   Transfer separation point from vehicle.

2. Grind mating surfaces on inner A-pillar reinforcement (2) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

3. Grind mating surfaces on inner A-pillar reinforcement (2) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

4. Remove grinding dust.

5. From the additional replacement part inner A-pillar reinforcement (2), cut out the two repair duplicators (5, 6).

   Dimensions: 

   b = approx. 155 mm

   c = approx. 150 mm

6. Grind mating surfaces at repair duplicators (5, 6) down to bare metal.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

7. Remove grinding dust.
8. Grind mating surfaces at outer A-pillar reinforcement (1) down to bare metal in cross-hatched areas.

   Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

9. Remove grinding dust.
