The following tool is required to perform the work procedure: Commercially available devices/tools 

Cutter

1. Detach coupling (1) from light-guiding element.

   If it is not possible to disconnect the coupling (1) with a force of max. 30 N,

   ↓

   perform following operation steps  2 to  7.

2. Expose coupling (1).

   If the coupling (1) is clipped into or fastened onto another component part.

3. Insert a cutter at the side of the coupling housing (arrow A).
4. Carefully bend coupling housing through approx. 90° to one side (arrow B).

   Install 

5. Perform operation steps  3 and  4 on opposite side of coupling (1).

   If the opposite side of the coupling (1) is accessible.

6. 1. If the opposite side of the coupling (1) is not accessible.

      Carefully release catch hook (2), as shown.

   2. If both sides of coupling (1) are accessible.

      Carefully release catch hooks (2), as shown.

7. Detach coupling (1) from light-guiding element (3).
8. 1. If operation steps  2 to  7 were performed.

      Attach new coupling (1) to light-guiding element (3) and check lock of coupling (1) on light-guiding element (3).

      Always replace the coupling (1).

      Otherwise, correct locking of the coupling (1) on the lightguiding element (3) is not ensured.

   2. If operation steps  2 to  7 were not performed.

      Attach coupling (1) to light-guiding element (3) and check lock of coupling (1) on light-guiding element (3).
