| 1 | Commission instrument cluster display (A40/18). | If instrument cluster display (A40/18) is to be replaced. | |

| 2 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m). | ||
| 3 | Unclip trim (1) upward. | Fig 1 | |
| 4 | Unclip trim (2) upward. | Model 223 except code 445 (Head-up display with augmented reality.) |

| 5 | Remove screw/bolts (3). | ||
| 6 | Release catch hooks (6) upward using suitable tool and tilt instrument cluster display (A40/18) toward rear (arrow). | ||
| 7 | Guide out instrument cluster display (A40/18) upward until electrical connectors (4, 5) are accessible. | ||
| 8 | Release and disconnect electrical connectors (4, 5). | ||
| 9 | Remove instrument cluster display (A40/18). | ||
| 10 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| 11 | Check head-up display using diagnostic system. | Model 223 with code 445 (Head-up display with augmented reality.) |
