IMPORTANT On left and right-hand drive vehicles, the branch-off line for the rear dashcam of the dashcam wiring harness (8) is routed on the right side.

  1. Route dashcam wiring harness (8) from front dashcam mount under roof lining to right to A-pillar.
  2. Route green line (GN) of dashcam wiring harness (8) under roof lining to left to A-pillar.

  3. Fasten ferrite cores (8.2) of dashcam wiring harness (8) to roof lining using felt tape.
  4. Fasten extended lengths of dashcam wiring harness (8) from branch-off line of front dashcam mount in area of overhead control panel using cable tie (arrow).

  5. Route green line (GN) of dashcam wiring harness under roof lining to left to A-pillar and fasten in area of overhead control panel using cable tie (arrow).

  7. Remove violet coupling (MR2) from front signal acquisition and actuation module control unit (N10/6).

    IMPORTANT The violet coupling (MR2) is removed to improve access to the white coupling (MR1).

  8. Remove white coupling (MR1) from front signal acquisition and actuation module control unit (N10/6).
  9. Remove black 36-pin coupling insert from white connector (MR1).

  10. Remove line (20) from contact cavity "11" of black 36-pin coupling insert (19).

    IMPORTANT Take appropriate tool from the SPECIAL TOOL basic wiring harness repair kit or the SPECIAL TOOL supplementary passenger car wiring harness repair kit.

  11. Install line (20) into free contact cavity of blue 2-pin coupling (8.3) of green line (GN).
  12. Lock blue 2-pin coupling (8.3).

  13. Install line (8.8) of Y-line (8.5) into contact cavity "11" of black 36-pin coupling insert (19).
  14. Connect blue 2-pin coupling (8.3) of green line (GN) to blue 2-pin plug (8.9) of Y-line (8.5).

  15. Install black 36-pin coupling insert into white coupling (MR1).
  16. Attach white coupling (MR1) to front signal acquisition and actuation module control unit (N10/6).
  17. Attach violet coupling (MR2) to front signal acquisition and actuation module control unit (N10/6).

  18. Route red line, ground line and rear dashcam branch-off line of dashcam wiring harness (8) above window airbag (30) into footwell.

  19. Route red line (RD) of dashcam wiring harness (8) to fuse and relay module (F152/4).
  20. Route ground line (8.10) of dashcam wiring harness (8) to front right footwell ground point (W85/2) and connect. TORQUE SPECIFICATION

  21. Remove electrical fuse (25) from slot 330 (arrow A) of fuse and relay module (F152/4).

    IMPORTANT The electrical fuse (25) is reused.

    IMPORTANT

    Model 223

    with code 72B (USB package)

    The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (25) is 20 A.

    IMPORTANT

    Model 223

    except code 72B (USB package)

    The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (25) is 7.5 A.

  22. Release lock (31) outward in direction of arrow.
  23. Remove red/white line (33) from contact cavity "A3_5" (arrow B) on fuse holder (32) of fuse and relay module (F152/4).

    IMPORTANT Take appropriate tool from the SPECIAL TOOL basic wiring harness repair kit or the SPECIAL TOOL supplementary passenger car wiring harness repair kit.

  24. Install Y-shaped adapter (9) into contact cavity "A3_5" (arrow B) on fuse holder (32) of fuse and relay module (F152/4).
  25. Lock, lock (31) inward in direction of arrow.

  26. Install previously removed red/white line (33) into free contact cavity of fuse holder (9.1).
  27. Install red line (RD) of dashcam wiring harness into fuse holder (9.2).

  28. Install electrical fuse (12) included in parts kit into fuse holder (9.2).

    IMPORTANT The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (12) is 5 A.

  29. Install electrical fuse (25) into fuse holder (9.1).

    IMPORTANT The electrical fuse (25) was removed beforehand from the fuse and relay module.

    IMPORTANT

    The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (25) is 20 A.

    IMPORTANT

    Model 223

    except code 72B (USB package)

    The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (25) is 7.5 A.

  30. Join fuse holders (9.1, 9.2) together.

  31. Secure fuse holders (9.1, 9.2) to on-board wiring harness using cable tie.
  32. Install electrical fuse (13) included in parts kit into slot 330 (arrow A) of fuse and relay module (F152/4).

    IMPORTANT The fuse rating of the electrical fuse (13) is 25 A.

  33. Insert black plug (8.1) of rear dashcam branch-off line (8.11) into pocket (40) made of felt.
  34. Fasten pocket (40) to Dashcam wiring harness (8) using fabric tape (41).

    1. Model 223.### 1#

      Strap down rear dashcam branch-off line (8.11) that is not required, and secure in front right of front passenger footwell using cable ties.

    2. Model 223.### 2#

      Strap down rear dashcam branch-off line (8.11) that is not required, and secure in area of right A-pillar using cable ties.
