	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).
2	Open rear door.
3.1	Open flap (1).	Model 223 with code 301 (Ashtray package) except code 224 (Individual rear seats)
3.2	Open cap (4) of armrest.	Model 223 with code 224 (Individual rear seats) with code 301 (Ashtray package)
4	Remove insert (2) from housing (3).	The cigarette lighter consists of the insert (2), the housing (3) and the clamping sleeve (6).
5	Release housing (3) using pull-off device (5) and pull out until electrical connector is accessible.	Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. Otherwise, the electric lines will be damaged, which will impair their function.

6	Disconnect electrical connector from housing (3).
7	Unclip and remove clamping sleeve (6) by pushing back the two catch hooks (arrows).
8	Install in the reverse order.
