	Remove/install
1	Move both front seats forwards
2	Pull seat cushion (1) upwards out of pilot bushings (3)	Lock tabs (2.1) must not be bent. Otherwise the lock tabs (2.1) cannot engage correctly in the pilot bushings (3). Reach under the seat cushion (1) (arrow) by hand and press the lock tab (2.1) back to the end stop. : Ensure that wire hoops (2) are seated correctly in pilot bushings (3).
3	Push seat cushion (1) towards rear and unhook from both safety hooks (8)	Model 222.0/1 except code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) except code 224 (Individual rear seats) : Ensure that safety hooks (8) are seated correctly in wire hoops (7) of seat cushion (1).
4	Fold over soundproofing (6) to disconnect electrical connector (5)
5	Unclip, release and disconnect electrical connectors (5) at left and right	Model 217 with code 872 (Left and right rear seat heating) Model 222.0/1 with code 872 (Left and right rear seat heating) except code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) except code 224 (Individual rear seats) : Ensure that electrical connectors (5) are seated correctly in respective retaining clip (5.2). Note routing of electrical wiring harness of electrical connector (5) below backrest (4).
6	Remove seat cushion (1) from vehicle	Carefully remove seat cushion (1) from vehicle. Otherwise vehicle components may be damaged.
7	Install in the reverse order
