| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Switch off ignition and keep transmitter key outside transmitter range (at least 2 m) | ||
| 2 | Open stowage compartment (1) and protect upper edge with adhesive tape (2) | ||
| 3 | Unscrew screws/bolts on left and right of installation frame of stowage compartment (1) and remove stowage compartment (1) | ||
| 4 | Release and disconnect electrical connection (3) | ||
| 5 | Unclip retaining clip (5) from stowage compartment (1) | ||
| 6 | Remove front vehicle interior socket (X58/17) from stowage compartment (1) | Fig 1 | |
| 7 | Release and disconnect electrical connection (8) and remove front vehicle interior socket (X58/17) | ||
| 8 | Install in the reverse order |
