Location 

The right front door control unit is located on the door module behind the door lining.

Task 

The right front door control unit has the following tasks:

• Reading in of sensors and signals 
• Evaluation of input factors 
• Actuation of components 

Reading in of sensors and signals 

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

• Direct line 
• Right front door LIN (LIN B6) 
• Interior CAN (CAN B) 

Direct line 

The front door control unit reads in the signals of the following components via direct lines:

• Right front door microswitch safety catch (A85/1s1) (model 222 with code 883 (Power closing), model 217)
• Right front door main microswitch safety catch (A85/1s2)
• Right front door inside door handle microswitch (A85/1s3) (model 222 with code 883 (Power closing), model 217)
• Right front door external operation microswitch (A85/1s4) (model 222 with code 883 (Power closing), model 217)
• Right front door tweeter hall sensor (H4/69) (with code 811 (Advanced sound system) and code 877 (Ambiance illumination))
• Right front power window motor hall sensor (M10/4) (up to model year 2018 (except model 222 with code Z12 (Right front power window for special protection)))
• Right front door power closing actuator motor microswitch (M14/22s1) (model 222 with code 883 (Power closing), model 217)
• Vertical inclination adjustment potentiometer (M21/2r2)

• Central locking system unlocking/locking request

• Convenience feature request
• Crash signal

Evaluation of input factors 

The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the relevant components are then actuated.
