	Remove/install
1	Remove rear backrest	Model 222.0/1/9 with code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) with code 224 (Individual rear seats)	AR91.12-P-1620LFA
		Model 217 Model 222.0/1 except code 223 (Electric backrest adjustment and head restraints) except code 224 (Individual rear seats)	AR91.12-P-1620LF
2	Close soft top	Model 217.4
3	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)
4	Disconnect battery ground line		AR54.10-P-0003LF
5	Swivel insulation (2) far enough to the side to gain access to the electrical connection (3)	Model 217.3, 222.0/1/9
6	Release and disconnect electrical connector (3) at sidebag unit (1)
7.1	Remove bolt (4)	Model 217.3, 222.0/1/9
		Bolt/nut for rear sidebag unit to body	*BA91.60-P-1005-01I
7.2	Remove bolts (6)	Model 217.4 Bolt/nut for rear sidebag unit to body	*BA91.60-P-1005-01I
8	Swivel insulation (2) far enough to side for nut (5) to be accessed	Model 217.3, 222.0/1/9
9	Unscrew nut (5)	Model 217.3, 222.0/1/9
		Bolt/nut for rear sidebag unit to body	*BA91.60-P-1005-01I
10	Remove sidebag unit (1)
11	Install in the reverse order
	Check
12	Check and erase vehicle fault memory using diagnostic system	When replacing sidebag unit (1).
