With the express agreement of the customer, on........ (date), the function of the automatic child seat recognition (ACSR), seat occupancy recognition (SBE) and the seat belt warning has been deactivated on the front passenger side. There is an increased risk of injury for vehicle occupants resulting from this measure. There may, in particular, be
- no automatic deactivation of the front passenger airbag when the front passenger seat is unoccupied
- no front passenger airbag shutoff when using an MB child seat with transponder (automatic shutoff of front passenger airbag)
- no adaptive 2-stage triggering of the front passenger airbag
- no seat belt warning (visual and acoustic) for the front passenger side
as a consequence.
Risk of injury
A seat belt which is not worn at all or not worn correctly cannot perform its protection function. The airbags can only provide protection as intended when vehicle occupants are wearing their seat belts correctly.
For this reason, you should ensure that all vehicle occupants - particularly pregnant women - are always wearing their seat belts correctly.
The customer has been emphatically informed of the increased risk of injury if the seat belt is not worn or not worn correctly and is bound to inform third parties about this before allowing them to use the vehicle.
The sign "Warning! This vehicle does not have automatic child seat recognition!" has been attached to the right side of the armatures.
Copy sheet, cut off here and stick the lower section into the Operator's Manual at the beginning of the SAFETY chapter.
